Saint Louis Lady Arm Wrestlers (SLLAW)

Description

"At its inception, SLLAW was founded as a radical fundraising mechanism to support local women-initiated philanthropic efforts. All money raised at SLLAW events is donated to causes that are voted upon by members of our collective. However, SLLAW is about more than charity. SLLAW is about empowering women, building relationships, and promoting the radical notion that women and girls are people deserving of the same rights and abilities as men and boys. SLLAW seeks to educate others about feminist issues and how those issues intersect with issues of race, class, sexuality, dis/ability, and myriad other causes of justice. The leaders of SLLAW wish to create a safe space for all people. Performers are limited to persons who self-identify as female or primarily female, but we welcome and encourage support from those who identify as male or primarily male in other roles."
