Midwest Gender-Affirming Care Guide

In Operation

Description

Throughout the Midwest region of the United States, there have been numerous restrictions to accessing gender-affirming care. This guide aims to highlight resources that are still available for people to negate the adverse health consequences associated with limiting gender-affirming care.

This list is not comprehensive, nor does it endorse the specific providers and clinics, its function is to allow a starting place for people to discover what options might be out there. Additionally, even if a service is listed as ""no"", that service may still be provided but it is just not advertised online. Individual research is encouraged to make sure that a provider or clinic is right for the type of care they are interested in.

Each of the tabs is organized by state, and within the states, all of the resources are sorted by zip code to easily search for local resources.

A legislation tracker is provided that lists bills supporting gender diverse people in green, and ones that may harm gender diverse people in red. This is to gain a foundational understanding as to why particular states may provide a greater number of resources or support for people seeking gender-affirming care.
