With TransLifeline empowering MTUG with funding for our first name change clinic in October 2021, we have modeled our microgrant application and program after theirs. Through the generosity of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, MTUG can now launch this program during our first name change clinic since. We will continue to fundraise for this Name Change Microgrant program throughout the year and continuously offer financial support to those in need. To build equity, fight systemic racism, share resources, and empower the individual, Metro Trans Umbrella Group is reserving 75% of microgrants to BIPOC individuals in Greater St. Louis. This will be our standard for MTUG while we connect on a deeper level with the trans and queer BIPOC communities and cultivate a fair and just equity policy for all of us.
